Everyone knows a scent that instantly brings them back to a person, a place or a moment.
For me, it was my grandmother’s perfume. She wore the same fragrance for years and, before she passed away, she gave it to me. To this day, one spray takes me straight back to her. It made me realise how powerful scent can be. It can carry a memory, an emotion and even a person with it.
That experience changed the way I looked at fragrance. Perfume was no longer simply something you wear because it smells beautiful. I began to see how deeply personal it can become and how much meaning we can attach to the scent we choose.
Around that same period, my father became seriously ill. During his recovery, he was introduced to sound healing and frequencies. It was a world I knew very little about, but one that immediately sparked my curiosity. I have always been interested in different approaches to wellbeing, and I wanted to understand more about the role intention and frequency could play within that world.
Eventually, those two experiences came together for me in one question:
What if fragrance could be more than something that simply smells good?
That question became the foundation of HINTE.
HINTE is a collection of six fragrances, each developed around a distinct emotional state and paired with a corresponding frequency: Grounding, Liberating, Healing, Loving, Calming and Energising.
Rather than choosing a fragrance purely by scent, HINTE is an invitation to choose more consciously. To pause for a moment and consider what you want to carry with you that day. Not because a fragrance should tell you how to feel, but because what we wear can hold meaning, intention and personal association.
That same sense of intention extends to the way HINTE is made.
Every fragrance is developed, tested and filled in the Netherlands, together with carefully selected partners we know personally. From the formulation of the fragrance to the final bottle, quality, transparency and attention to detail guide every step.
